Juniors in Pacelli’s Catholic Social Teaching class created videos during the first week of school to welcome Pope Francis to the United States this September. This class explores how Catholic Christians are supposed to interact with society, which is one of Pope Francis’ key messages. Each video included Pope Francis’ favorite bible verse, Matthew 25:3, “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me…” They participated in the national effort headed by Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New York.
