Accreditation
Cognia Accreditation at Pacelli Catholic Schools
All Pacelli Catholic Schools are fully accredited through Cognia, a respected, global nonprofit organization dedicated to school improvement and educational excellence. Our most recent system-wide accreditation was completed in the Spring of 2025 and is valid for five years, through 2030.
The Cognia accreditation process is a rigorous, evidence-based review of the programs, culture, leadership, policies, and curriculum that define our schools. This external review ensures that we continually improve and provide a high-quality Catholic education for all students.
Cognia Standards for Quality
Every school is unique—whether in size, philosophy, or educational approach. Cognia recognizes this diversity and tailors its reviews to align with each school’s mission and goals. Regardless of these differences, high-performing schools share common foundational elements.
The Cognia Standards for Quality are rooted in research and outline the essential components of effective schooling. These standards affirm that every school should demonstrate:
- Strong and stable governance, leadership, and management
- A coherent and well-aligned curriculum
- A dependable system for monitoring and evaluating student progress
- Skilled instructors who understand their instructional goals and methods
- Access to the resources and support necessary for success
These criteria provide a framework for excellence, while allowing flexibility in how schools meet them. At Pacelli Catholic Schools, we uphold these standards as part of our ongoing mission to promote academic excellence, faith formation, and the holistic development of the whole child.
