January Term

One of the most unique opportunities offered by Pacelli Catholic High School is the January Term. For two weeks in January, between first and second semester, students can immerse themselves in a single subject. This allows students to focus in detail on a subject of their interest. The January Term class counts as a 1/4 credit.  The offerings will change every year and reflect both student interest and faculty expertise.

January Term Allows:

• Hands-on, applied, active and creative learning activities
• Different kinds of experiences and the teaching of classes not normally offered
• Opportunities to get off campus, to travel, and to bring in outside speakers and resources
• In-depth, intensive and rigorous classes
• Classes that reflect student interest
• Team teaching by teachers with related interests
• The building of a deeper understanding of our core values
