Childcare: 6 Weeks-6 Years, 3K, & 4K
Pacelli Catholic Schools offer a licensed childcare program that allows children to learn social skills in a safe and loving environment. By promoting spiritual, cognitive, and physical development each child has the opportunity to engage in activities that are geared to their interests while challenging them at their individual ability level.
Curriculum
The educational program is designed to provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences for the children throughout the day. Our play-based curriculum stems from the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards (WMELS). Our qualified staff develop lesson plans and create learning environments using the five WMELS domains:
- Health & Physical Development
- Social & Emotional Development
- Language Development
- Approaches to Learning
- Cognition & General Knowledge
Children are assessed individually and learning objectives are set to ensure each child can reach their developmental milestones in a positive, fun, and relaxed atmosphere.
Pacelli Catholic Schools views each child as a precious gift, given by God, acknowledging our responsibility, along with parents and guardians, for your child’s nurture and care. Pacelli Catholic Schools carries out this mission by establishing and maintaining preschool and childcare programs that provide safe, secure, and a nurturing Catholic environment for children.
Daily prayer is included in the curriculum, along with the discussion of religious holidays such as Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter. Our goal is to provide support to you as a parent as you begin your child’s faith development.

3K Preschool
Pacelli Catholic Schools offer a well-established and innovative preschool program with a Catholic emphasis for children ages 3-4 taught by highly qualified staff at our Early Childhood Center in Stevens Point. Low student/teacher ratios and classroom aides allow teachers to focus on faith development, literacy, social and readiness skills.
Schedule
The 3K preschool program follows the school year calendar for Pacelli Catholic Schools. You will receive a calendar during the first week of school. Your child can attend two days a week (Tuesday/Thursday) or three days a week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) from 9am-11:30am.
4K Preschool
Our Early Childhood Center offers 4 Year-Old Kindergarten (4K) as part of the Stevens Point Area Public School District. The program follows the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards which specify developmentally appropriate expectations for children. The standards address a child’s health and physical development, social and emotional development, language development and communication skills, and cognition and general knowledge. By using these standards as a guide, the programs are all able to utilize a play-based exploration model that is child initiated.
The mission of the 4K program is to provide equal access to high quality early childhood education and learning experiences for all children.

4K Extension Program
Looking for a way to give your child a leg up for kindergarten? The NEW Pacelli Catholic Schools 4K Extension Program provides just that! Enroll your child full time and they’ll receive supplemental academic and faith based lessons, in addition to all they learn through the 4K program. The 4K Extension Program will focus on things like intentional play based learning, letter recognition, math concepts, and elements of our Catholic faith with assessments and progress reports designed to gauge your child’s academic advancement ensuring they meet developmental standards and milestones.
Cardinal Kids Summer Fun
For Children Ages 2-5
Pacelli Catholic Schools Tim Copps Early Childhood Center offers a safe and exciting Cardinal Kids Summer Fun program for children 2-5 years of age. We provide a variety of outdoor activities, projects, field trips, and community events. More information including weekly themes and a summer events calendar will be circulated upon registration.
